Allan James Speirs, a lifelong area resident, passed away at Garnet Health Medical Center on March 3, 2022. He was 49. 

The son of Constance White and her husband Robert of Pine Bush and Gregory Speirs and his wife Edie of Middletown, he was born on February 6, 1973 in Middletown. 

Allan is a graduate of Minisink Valley High School and attended Orange County Community College and was formerly employed as a foreman for U.S. Grounds.  He was an expert certified framer at Gallery of the Lakes in Rock Hill, and was also a retired steelworker in NY and NJ.  

Allan grew up spending much of his childhood visiting both sets of grandparent's homes in Mamakating and Slate Hill surrounded by large families. He was a gentle, bright and loving child and will be missed by many aunts, uncles and cousins. He enjoyed spending time with friends and the calls with remembrances of Allan being a bright, gentle soul and loyal friend have been appreciated by his family. Allan most enjoyed spending time at home with his life partner, Gina. He was very proud of their three children. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his life partner, Gina Varall, his son, William Speirs and stepchildren, Anika and Logan Clarke. He is also survived by his sister Marcy Kiesche, nephews, Dylan and Jackson Kiesche and niece, Ella Joy. Allan is predeceased by his brother, Stephen Joy, his maternal grandparents Isabella and William Brown, his paternal grandparents, Vara and Vincent Vogt, his godfather James Brown, aunts, Sharon Tyrell Speirs and Madeline Brown Freeman and cousin, Paul Roe. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday March 13,  from 2-5 p.m. at the William M. Gagan Funeral Home Inc. 1525 Burlingham Rd Pine Bush. A celebration of Allan’s life will take place on Monday March 14,  at 11am at the funeral home. Interment of ashes will follow in Bloomingburg Cemetery.
