The City of Newburgh invites residents to a day of fun and fishing at the annual Fishing Derby at Materson Park/Washington Lake on Saturday, June 15.. The event will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Participants can register online at cityofnewburgh.recdesk.com or in person at 401 Washington Street. The derby is open to all age groups, with categories for children aged 4-8, 9-13, 14-18, and adults 18 years and older.

Trophies will be awarded for the biggest catch of the day and for the most fish caught. Transportation to and from the event will be provided, with pickup at 9 a.m. at 83 Broadway and departure from the event at 2 p.m.
