Early voting this weekend for Primary Election

The Commissioners of Elections would like to remind voters that Primary Day will take place on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, and various poll sites throughout the County will be open 6am to 9pm.  Democratic voters in the Town of Cornwall election districts 1 and 4 have a primary for County Committee Member.  Republican voters in the City of Middletown and Town of Wallkill have a primary for the 100th Assembly District, Conservative voters have a primary for the 42nd Senate District which affects all Town and Cities in Orange County except (City of Newburgh and Towns of Montgomery and Newburgh) and only voters who are enrolled in these parties are eligible to vote in this election.

 

In addition to Primary Day, voters will have the ability to exercise their right to vote during the nine-day period before Primary Day at any of the two locations in the County.  The following sites are open to process registered party eligible voters in Orange County:  Middletown Senior Center (upstairs), 62-70 West Main Street in the City of Middletown, and New Windsor Community Center, 555 Union Avenue in the Town of New Windsor.

 

Early Voting is open daily at the two locations during the following dates and times: Friday, June 21, from 7:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Saturday, June 22 from 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. and Sunday, June 23, from 8:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

 

Mail in Voting:  The deadline to apply for an absentee or early vote ballot in person at the Board of Elections is Monday, June 24, 2024.  The last day to return and postmark the ballot to the Board of Elections is Tuesday, June 25, 2024.

 

The Board of Elections will have extended office hours for Absentee or Early Vote by Mail Balloting on the following dates and times:

 

Saturday, June 22, 9 AM to 5  PM

Sunday, June 23, 8  AM to 4 PM
