Members of the Newburgh Wants a Park Campaign (NWaPC) and local partners are co-hosting a fall celebration on Sunday, October 20th at Crystal Lake in Newburgh, NY. This free event welcomes community members to celebrate Newburgh’s largest green space and support its protection as a park forever. This gathering kicks off the first of four seasonal celebrations, each designed to strengthen community ties and highlight the importance of caring for our local green spaces. Join us for a day of laughter, connection, and shared love for this beautiful green space! 

  • 11 am to 12:30 pm Group hike to Snake Hill led by Outdoor Promise
  • 12:30 to 1 pm Lunch: BBQ & Farm Fresh Veggies
  • 1pm to 1:30pm Garden Tour led by The Sanctuary Healing Gardens
  • 1:30pm to 2:30pm Congolese Dance Workshop led by Nkodia & Angel
  • 1pm to 4pm Arts and Crafts led by Ashley Martinez
  • 1pm to 4pm Kayaking in Crystal Lake led By Newburgh Waterways
  • 1pm to 4pm A fishing derby where community members that bring their own fishing rod can win cash prizes for the biggest catch, including $100 for 1st place, $50 for second, and $25 for third.
