The Orange Lake Fire Department responded to a house fire early Monday morning, with flames visible through the roof upon arrival.

Fire officials said Car One arrived at the scene at 21 Victoria Drive, around 5:15 a.m. and immediately requested a second alarm. The Winona Lake, City/Newburgh Firefighter Assist and Search Team (FAST) also responded.

Three occupants escaped the residence, and one woman was transported to Montefiore St. Luke’s Hospital. Additional manpower was requested, and Cronomer Valley units initially standing by at the Orange Lake firehouse were moved to the scene, along with Coldenham Fire Department. Plattekill crews continued to stand by at Orange Lake.

Central Hudson was called to cut power, and Town of Newburgh police were on-site. The Town of Newburgh Fire Inspector was also requested to assist in the investigation.

No further information was immediately available.
