The New York State Department of Transportation is advising Orange County motorists that Interstate 84 will be reduced to one lane in each direction between Exit 32 (State Route 747) and Exit 39 (U.S. Route 9W) in the Town of Newburgh, on Thursday, December 14, and Friday, December 15, between 9:30 a.m. and 3 p.m., to accommodate paving and guide rail replacement, weather permitting.
Motorists should anticipate delays and plan accordingly.
Motorists are urged to slow down and drive responsibly in work zones. Fines are doubled for speeding in a work zone. Convictions of two or more speeding violations in a work zone could result in the suspension of an individual’s driver license.
