NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF LOCAL LAW
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the County Legislature of the County of Orange on the 6th day of June, 2024, passed Local Law Introductory No. 1 of 2024, entitled, "A LOCAL LAW AMENDING AND RESTATING LOCAL LAW NO. 8 OF 2007 AS PREVIOUSLY AMENDED BY LOCAL LAW NO. 2 OF 2011 AND LOCAL LAW NO. 11 OF 2013, ESTABLISHING THE ORANGE COUNTY ELECTRICAL LICENSING BOARD AND PROVIDING FOR THE QUALIFICATIONS, EXAMINATION,
LICENSING AND REGULATION OF ELECTRICIANS IN ORANGE COUNTY, NEW YORK" that the County Executive of Orange County approved such local law on July 1, 2024, said date of July 1, 2024 being the date of adoption thereof.
The following is a summary of said Local Law Introductory No. 1 of 2024:
Local Law Introductory No. 1 of 2024 is a local law which amends and restates Local Law No. 8 of 2007, as previously amended by Local Law No. 2 of 2011 and Local Law No. 11 of 2013, known as the Electrical Licensing Law. The Law establishes the Electrical Licensing Board and outlines the qualifications, examination, licensing and regulation for Electricians in Orange County, New York.
This Local Law shall take effect upon completion of the requisite filings pursuant to Section 27 of the Municipal Home Rule Law.
