Lenore Clare Giansante (70) passed away after a more than two year battle with pancreatic cancer on July 1, 2024 at her home in Milton, NY. 

Lenore was born on February 24, 1954 in Rockville Center, NY. She is predeceased by her parents, William and Patricia Koch.

Lenore is survived by her husband of 49 years, Phil Giansante of Milton, NY; and her children Corissa Appler and husband Gael of Milton, NY, Nicholas Giansante and wife Darcie, Marlboro, NY, and Zachary Giansante and partner Sarah Dalzell, Milton, NY; her grandchildren, Gabriel and Adeline Appler and Miles, Kate, and Maxwell Giansante. She is also survived by her brother, Doug and his family, her brother, Philip, and her husband Phil’s family which she liked to call her own.

Lenore wanted everyone to know what a fairy tale life she led along with her loving husband, Phil, surrounded closely by her children and grandchildren. She believed in enjoying every day to the fullest and spread her love wherever she went. She was the best listener anyone ever met. Lenore always made everyone in her life feel better and considered each day of life to be a gift. Lenore was an avid gardener and loving grandparent. Lenore is blessed with all her wonderful friends in her supportive community and also her childhood friends she has kept close to over the years.

 Lenore retired from the Newburgh Teachers Association, where she worked as a dedicated office manager.

Lenore is grateful for all the expert loving care she received at Memorial Sloan Kettering and Hudson Valley Hospice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at St. Mary’s Church, Route 9W, Marlboro, NY, July 11, 2024, at 11 a.m.
