It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Marie, who left us peacefully on July 11,2024, surrounded by her family where she resided in Goldsboro, North Carolina.
Marie was born in Cornwall, New York on September 20,1963 to Dominick and Judith De Robertis. She grew up and went to school in Wallkill, New York.
She is predeceased by her mother Judith Simanoski-De Robertis, her maternal grandparents Charles and Anna Simanoski of New Windsor, New York and her paternal grandparents Mario and Julia De Robertis of Newburgh, New York.
Marie will be forever remembered and deeply missed by her father Dominick De Robertis, sister Gina De Robertis-Sykes and spouse Tommie L. Sykes, brother Troy De Robertis and spouse Thomas Strausser, daughter’s Stephanie and Melissa De Robertis, grandchildren Dayonna and Traevon, and her longtime partner, Sherwood Monroe. Her memory will also be cherished by her extended family, friends, and all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Marie brought joy and love into our lives, and her spirit will continue to inspire us. Though she is no longer with us physically, her memory will live on in our hearts forever.
A Memorial Service will be held the week of the 15th in Goldsboro, NC 27534.
Additionally, a private Celebration of Marie’s Life will be held in New Windsor, New York, at a later date.
