Marlboro High School hosts a Juneteenth celebration

Posted

Kudos to Marlboro High School’s Students Empowering Equality club for hosting another wonderful Juneteenth Celebration on June 12! The afternoon event was well attended by students, administrators, and faculty, and featured food, music, games, and—most importantly—information about the historical significance of Juneteenth, today’s national holiday that commemorates the ending of slavery in the United States. The club members and their mentor, Aneisha Cunningham, would like to thank everyone who came!

Marlboro Middle School students had a blast at their annual Health and Wellness Fair on June 20! The day was packed with activities across three grade levels: “Class Connections” for study time, an “Online Safety” presentation by Trooper Watt on smart social media use, and booths on health and fitness. Students also explored forensic science, learned about fire department tools, and enjoyed a friendly “Battle of the Belts” seatbelt safety game. Huge thanks to all the volunteers who made this event possible!

St. Mary’s Church

Relying on both narrative and lyrical sequences, as well as haiku-like explorations, this book takes the reader through the emotional geography of married love and the ever-repeating cycle of hope, disappointment, despair, fear, joy, and finally, mature love.

This reading will be followed by a Q & A and book signing. RSVP at marlborolibrary.org, walk-ins welcome.
