Marlboro-Milton Seniors celebrate Italia!

Join the Marlboro-Milton Seniors for a delightful Italian-themed celebration at Aquaturf in Southington, Connecticut, on Tuesday, July 9, from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. The event, priced at $64, includes lunch and travel. Enjoy a musical performance by Aaron Caruso and the Sam Vinci Band, who are back by popular demand. To reserve your spot, contact trip coordinator Lorraine Palermo at (845) 591-8851.

School News.
We extend a heartfelt thank you to the Marlboro High School seniors who volunteered at Marlboro Elementary School’s Field Day. Thank you, Aidan Garrison, Hannah Polumbo, Kathryn Greiner, Luca Ceriello, Alex McAteer, Fallon Grace, Claire Devine, and Emersyn Lazar. We couldn’t have done it without you!

Writers Group:
Now meeting on the third Saturday of every month at 6 p.m.; this month’s meeting is on June 15. Enjoy the camaraderie of fellow writers as we hone our craft and discuss writing issues.
Book Lovers Club:
This month, we’re reading “Galileo’s Daughter” by Dava Sobel. We will discuss the book on June 19 at 6 p.m. in the library’s community room. Extra books are available at the circulation desk; call to reserve a copy.

Summer Reading Game Kickoff featuring Jonathan Blair Magic
Join us on June 27 at 7 p.m. for a magical adventure featuring comedy magician and illusionist Jonathan Blair. Children can volunteer to be magic assistants and will receive a special Jonathan Blair magic dollar bill. Blood Drive
The Knights of Columbus Fr. Hanley Council, in collaboration with the New York Blood Center, will conduct a blood drive on Sunday, June 16, from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the parish hall. Appointments can be made by calling (800) 933-2566 or visiting nybc.org/donate. Walk-ins are welcome, and donors will receive a delicious breakfast.

Father Hanley Council 7266:
Meets on the third Thursday of the month at 7 p.m. at the parish hall. For membership inquiries, contact Joe Lopiccolo at (917) 657-8045.

Father’s Day Cards:
Available on tables at the back and side entrances of the church. Remember your father, grandfather, or a special man in your life at all Masses on Father’s Day.

Weekly Recipe:
Noodles Napoleon
• 1 lb Ground Beef
• 1 tsp Sugar
• 2 (8oz) cans Tomato Sauce
• 1 (8oz) pkg Egg Noodles
• 6 Scallions
• ½ cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese
• 1 clove Garlic
• 1 tsp Salt
• Dash of Pepper
• 1 cup Sour Cream
• 3 oz Cream Cheese
Directions:
Soften cream cheese and combine it with sour cream and chopped scallions. Set aside.
Brown meat in skillet; add crushed garlic, salt, pepper, sugar, and tomato sauce. Cover and simmer for 10 minutes.
Cook noodles as directed on the package. In a 2-quart or larger casserole dish, layer noodles, scallion mixture, and meat sauce. Sprinkle with cheese.
Bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes.
