Ulster BOCES to discuss future of New York State Schools

Ulster BOCES is inviting the community to participate in a critical conversation about the future of New York State schools during a free event on Thursday, October 10. The Blue Ribbon Commission Ambassador Program, spearheaded by the New York State Education Department, will offer educators, parents, and community members the chance to come together to engage in meaningful dialogue about the vision for transforming New York’s education system.

Attendees will learn about the four proposed transformations for New York schools, and will have the opportunity to discuss both the opportunities and challenges these changes present. This event will serve as a platform for the public to voice their opinions, ask questions, and contribute to shaping the future of education in the State.

“Education is the cornerstone of our communities, and it’s essential that everyone has a seat at the table as we reimagine its future,” said Dr. Jonah Schenker, District Superintendent at Ulster BOCES. “This event and the findings of the New York State Blue Ribbon Commission are designed to empower community members to learn about these vital changes and to be part of a conversation that will impact generations to come.”

The event will take place at the Jane Bullowa Conference Center, which is located at 175 Route 32 North in New Paltz, from 5-7 PM.

This event is free and open to the public. Registration is encouraged to reserve your spot.
