Calling all families! Join us for a fun-filled, messy art session where we’ll be using shaving cream, paint, chalk powder and more to decorate cardboard cakes. Come dressed for a creative mess! Registration is required. Questions? Email tessa@marlborolibrary.org or call (845) 236-7272 ext. 217.
New Resource: Transparent Language Online. The Marlboro Free Library is now offering Transparent Language Online, a comprehensive language-learning system with over 110 languages. Accessible from home, in the library, or on the go, this resource is available via mobile apps for iOS and Android. Perfect for learners of all levels, Transparent Language makes mastering a new language engaging and convenient.
 
Sarah Hull Hallock Free Library Events
Youthster Yogis with Liz Torres. Wednesdays, starting September 25, 4:15 - 5:15 p.m. For ages 4-9.Kids will stretch, bend, and twist through fun yoga poses, helping them boost their strength, flexibility, and coordination. This class offers a joyful way to relax, focus, and find inner calm.
Supported Yoga with Gina Dubois. Thursdays, starting September 12, 1:30 - 2:30 p.m. This class combines seated and standing yoga movements suitable for beginners and those with movement restrictions.
Homeschool Get Together. Wednesdays, September 11 - December 18, 2:00 - 3:15 p.m. Ages 5-12, siblings welcome. Homeschooling families can gather for books, crafts, games, and STEAM activities. The first meeting will feature local naturalist Emily from Hudson Valley Wild Side.
 
St. Mary’s Church Announcements
Fr. Tom will be away this week. For daily Mass, visit nearby churches such as St. Augustine’s in Highland (Monday - Friday, 7 a.m.), Our Lady of Fatima in Plattekill (Tuesday - Friday, 10 a.m.), or Sacred Heart in Newburgh (Monday - Friday, 9 a.m.).
Fr. Carlos will be present for all Masses next weekend, August 31 - September 1. He will discuss the challenges faced by missionaries, and the second collection will support the Propagation of the Faith Office.
 
 
Weekly Recipe: 
No-Bake Icebox Cheesecake
Ingredients:
2 cups graham cracker crumbs
1 stick (½ cup) unsalted butter, melted
1 package (3 oz) lemon Jell-O
1 cup boiling water
8 oz cream cheese, softened
1 cup granulated sugar
5 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
1½ cups heavy whipping cream, cold
Additional graham cracker crumbs for topping
Instructions:
1 Dissolve the lemon Jell-O in boiling water and set aside.
2 Mix graham cracker crumbs and melted butter, then press into a 9x13-inch pan to form the crust.
3 Beat heavy whipping cream until fluffy; set aside.
4 Beat softened cream cheese, sugar, and lemon juice until smooth. Combine with the Jell-O mixture, then fold in whipped cream.
5 Spread the mixture evenly in the pan, sprinkle with additional graham cracker crumbs, and chill for at least 2 hours. Slice and enjoy!
