“Give Back” in October

Every fall, member libraries of the Ramapo Catskill Library System – and libraries across the state – participate in The Great Give Back. “The mission of the Great Give Back is to provide an opportunity for the community to participate in a meaningful experience, helping us to make a difference, because giving feels good!”

The Cornwall Public Library is currently working to help end hunger, by collecting non-perishable food items through October 7. There’s a box in the lobby to leave donations.

At the Highland Falls Library, from October 1-31, donations will be collected again this year for animals -- specifically New Windsor’s Hudson Valley SPCA and Fort Montgomery’s Animal Saints Rescue. Dog and cat food and treats, toys, bedding, gently used towels and comforters, and cleaning and office supplies can be dropped off in the library’s lobby. The library is also currently collecting diapers (sizes 3-7 are most needed) for the National Diaper Bank. That collection runs through Thanksgiving.
