Homeschoolers: Amphibian Search at Minnewaska

Posted

Come join other homeschoolers at Minnewaska to learn about the amazing amphibians that live here. Children will play a frog life cycle tag game, make their own frog mask, learn about amphibian habitats and visit vernal pools to look for frogs, salamanders and insects. This program is recommended for children between the ages of seven to twelve years old, accompanied by a parent or guardian over the age of 18. Well-behaved younger siblings are always welcome. Meet at the Peter’s Kill Park Office. If winter conditions prevail, this program may need to be rescheduled for a later date. Pre- registration is required by calling Minnewaska at 845-255-0752.
