Mason Rosen, a Life Scout with Troop 72 in Marlboro, is working on a project that could give residents a new place to gather, relax and enjoy the outdoors.
Rosen recently presented his Eagle Scout project to the Town Board. He is planning to create a safe community fire pit and seating area at Cluett Schantz Memorial Park in Milton.
The gathering area will include one 40-inch fire pit, four 6-foot log-style benches and a gravel surface covering the entire area.
The project is expected to cost approximately $1,500, and Rosen is seeking monetary donations to help purchase the supplies and materials needed to complete the project.
