Luau party held at Mt. St. Joseph for the sisters

As summer winds down to a close, the nurses at Sisters of the Presentation of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at Mt. St. Joseph hosted a lovely luau party for the sisters and gifted them with brightly colored floral leis made with garlands of flowers.  That’s how Hawaiians greet their thousands of visitors each year, saying “Aloha,” that means “hello, welcome, good-bye, love, and friendship.”

The nurses and their mothers provided all the food and fun, and everyone was having a great time feeling the magic of the beautiful islands, where many different people live together in peace and friendship, and isn’t that what we all pray for, a dream to come true for all of us; Ohana, is the Hawaiian word that truly means family and that nobody ever gets left behind or forgotten.

What a blessing to have a wonderful staff that are part of the Presentation family that care for the sisters so lovingly, and as an extension of the Presentation family, help carry the light of our mission both at Mt. St. Joseph and in their own homes and neighborhoods.
