Maple Branch Manor seeks couple for intimate Hudson Valley wedding

Posted

A historic Hudson Valley property that once welcomed travelers as the Marlborough Hotel is beginning a new chapter, this time as a place for couples to gather with their closest family and friends to celebrate their wedding.

Maple Branch Manor, a restored seven-bedroom property in Milton, is introducing intimate micro weddings for 50 guests or fewer and is seeking one couple interested in being among the first to hold their wedding at the Manor.

The selected couple will receive special introductory pricing as Maple Branch Manor launches the new wedding experience.

Rebecca Graziosi, director of Marketing and Events at Maple Branch Manor, said the concept is intended for couples looking for something different from a traditional wedding venue.

“Our goal is for this to feel less like a traditional wedding venue and more like an intimate, elevated experience,” Graziosi said. “It’s a beautiful home where couples can gather with the people closest to them and make an entire weekend out of their celebration.”

The property itself has a history of welcoming guests.

Dating to the early 1900s, the Milton property was once known as the Marlborough Hotel, according to Maple Branch Manor. It operated as a country inn with 12 guest rooms and a small café, providing lodging for travelers in the Hudson Valley.

Although the property changed hands over the years, elements of the original home survived, including hardwood floors and woodwork. It has since been renovated and transformed into a seven-bedroom Manor with seven full bathrooms and two half baths while preserving elements of its historic character.

Today, the property combines those older details with a modern Victorian aesthetic and spaces designed for group stays and celebrations.

For weddings, that means couples can use the Manor not simply as the setting for a ceremony, but as a home base for an entire weekend.

The seven bedrooms include the Lily Bride’s Suite, along with rooms named Daisy, Lilac, Dahlia, Sunflower, Daffodil and Iris. Most have queen beds and private bathrooms, while the Daisy room has two twin beds.

The Manor also includes several spaces geared toward wedding parties, including a beauty room designed for hair and makeup, a bride’s lounge, vintage bar and library. A fully equipped kitchen, laundry room and other residential amenities allow guests to settle into the property for an extended stay rather than treating it solely as an event space.

Much of Maple Branch Manor’s character comes from the attention given to the smallest details throughout the home. Rather than creating the feel of a conventional event venue, the owner has taken a personal approach to the property’s interiors, hand-selecting the wallpaper, furnishings, antiques and décor that give each room its own personality.

Bold wallpaper patterns, vintage-inspired pieces and carefully chosen decorative touches complement the Manor’s historic architecture and modern Victorian style. Each space has been designed individually, creating a home that feels collected over time rather than uniformly decorated.

That attention to detail extends from the guest rooms to the Manor’s common spaces, where antiques and distinctive furnishings help create an atmosphere that is elegant while remaining warm and inviting.

For couples planning an intimate wedding, the result is a setting with much of the character already built in. Bedrooms, gathering areas and quiet corners throughout the property provide distinctive backdrops for photographs while giving guests spaces that feel comfortable and lived-in.

The goal was not simply to furnish the Manor, but to fill it with charm and preserve the feeling of being welcomed into a beautiful home.

Outside, the Manor sits on three acres with rolling lawns and gardens. The property includes a covered porch, garden and waterfall feature, fire pit lounge area and outdoor gathering spaces. Its Milton location also places guests near Hudson Valley wineries, hiking trails and neighboring communities.

Those features are part of the approach Graziosi hopes will set the Manor’s micro weddings apart.

Instead of separating accommodations from the wedding celebration, the idea is to bring the experience together in one place. A couple and those closest to them can spend the weekend at the Manor, prepare for the wedding there, celebrate together and have time to gather before and after the ceremony.

Part of Maple Branch Manor’s appeal for intimate weddings is the range of amenities designed to allow couples and their guests to spend more of the wedding weekend together without leaving the property.

Inside, the Manor features a vintage bar for pre-ceremony toasts or evening gatherings, along with a curated library that provides a quieter space for guests. For wedding-day preparations, the property includes a dedicated beauty room designed for hair and makeup, with natural light, as well as a private bride’s lounge. The Manor also offers central air conditioning and high-speed Wi-Fi throughout the property.

The grounds provide additional spaces for couples to incorporate into their weekend. An expansive covered porch offers a gathering place for everything from morning coffee to evening conversations, while the property also features an orchid garden and waterfall, a fire pit lounge and outdoor seating areas.

The Manor sits on three acres of grounds with rolling lawns and gardens, providing both space for guests to gather and settings for wedding photographs. Ample on-site parking is also available for wedding parties and guests.

Its Milton location puts visitors within reach of Hudson Valley wineries, hiking trails, and neighboring towns, giving couples the option to incorporate other local destinations into a wedding weekend.

Together, the indoor and outdoor spaces support the concept behind Maple Branch Manor’s micro weddings: rather than using the property for only a few hours, couples can make the Manor the setting for an extended celebration with their closest friends and family.

The smaller scale is intentional. The wedding opportunity is limited to celebrations of no more than 50 people.

Graziosi, who oversees the Manor’s events, marketing, partnerships and guest experiences, said the launch represents an opportunity to introduce more Hudson Valley residents to the restored property while finding a couple who fits the intimate concept.

“We’re excited to share Maple Branch Manor with the Hudson Valley and hopefully find the perfect couple to be part of this next chapter,” Graziosi said.
