Greetings from River City. There’s an NFA Monthly Reunion Luncheon of 1950s and 1960s NFA classes, always on the last Wednesday of every month, 12 Noon, and always at La Casa Vicina Restaurant, Rt. 207, New Windsor. September 21 from 12 - 6 p.m. Praise Picnic will take over the lawn of People’s Park in Newburgh for an amazing afternoon of music community and hope. “Praise Picnic” is not just an ordinary gathering; it’s an extraordinary celebration of faith, designed to uplift and inspire young adults aged 18 to 30 through worship, praise, prayer, and joyful camaraderie. This event promises a vibrant fusion of spirituality and fun, creating an atmosphere where attendees can deepen their connection with God while enjoying an array of engaging activities.

Ultimately, the goal of “Praise Picnic” is to provide young adults with a unique and memorable experience that combines the joy of celebration with faith. This event promises to leave a lasting impact on all who attend by fostering a sense of community, personal growth, and igniting hearts with passion and purpose.

At The Newburgh Jewish Community Center (JCC): JCC Stretch, Strengthen and Balance Class at 9:30 a.m. on Tuesdays at the JCC with Temple Beth Jacob (TBJ) member and health coach Paula Martino. Perfect for all fitness levels. The class includes a warm-up, standing stretches, strength exercises (with optional light weights), balance training, and a relaxing cool-down. Classes are $5 per person.
 
At JCC: Line Dancing For Intermediate/Advanced from 12:30 – 2 p.m. on Wednesdays.  There is no fee to dance; just come and have a good time. Please Note:  Line Dancing for Beginners will be on hold for the summer and will restart in the fall.

Beginner Pickleball from 9:30 a.m. - 12 p.m. every Tuesday and Thursday. Beginner and Intermediate Clinic registration dates announced on the Newburghjcc.org website. Private court reservations are available. Free for members. $15 for all non-members. RSVP to visitnewburghjcc@gmail.com.

About Grace United Methodist Church: “Our Outreach Committee is very active with a spring/summer neighborhood celebration, Blood Drives, supporting Fishes and Loaves, breakfasts at least twice a year.
“In addition, we have a Food Closet and Nearly New Shop, are active in Habitat for Humanity have people volunteering as team members going to Biloxi, MS to do clean up and rebuilding after Hurricane Katrina; We did our first free Community Thanksgiving dinner this year and will be repeating it; Operation Christmas Child, Mitten Tree for Safe Homes; White Gifts for Newburgh Ministry and where ever else we see a need.”
