At their Bronze Award Ceremony, Junior Girl Scouts of the USA Troop 757 presented to Good-Will Fire Department, five Pet Oxygen Mask Kits. The Girl Scouts spent their entire cookie sales money to purchase the kits.

Girl Scouts of the USA proudly recognized Junior Scouts Troop 757 at Good Will Fire Dept. Congratulations to McKenzie Dede, Nina Rae DeSousa, Juliana Hernandez, Reyah Reynolds, Madeline Sampson, and Grace Sukhai.

The Bronze plaque stated, “After identifying issues in your community, you stepped up and took action to make positive change.

“This award celebrates your incredible achievement as a world changer today and proves you have the vision and skills to continue changing the world for a better tomorrow. Congratulations.”

Good-Will Fire Department Chief Tom Van Zandt praised the Girl Scouts for their generosity with this critical Life-Saving gift.

Knights of Columbus Council 444 Annual Car Show has respectfully been renamed the Kennan L. Ryan Memorial Car Show. This year, the Knights suffered a devasting loss with the passing of Past Grand Knight Kennan L. Ryan. Council 444 unanimously voted to change the name of the car show, after Ryan, who was Chairman for over 10 years until his passing on Dec. 5, 2023. What a perfect tribute to Ryan and his dear wife, Annie.

The Car Show was a magnificent success, and it was a touching tribute to a beloved gentleman Knight, Kennan Ryan. It was delightful to have Deputy Supervisor Scott Manley visit with good cheer, and Super Hero Batman and his famous decked out Batmobile was a popular perennial visitor.

The Knights of Columbus awarded 57 trophies in total, and it was a perfect family day and great fun. Proceeds benefit Charitable works of Knights of Columbus.
