As the summer season comes to a close, Lloyd Highway Superintendent Rich Klotz reported to the Town Board that 9 roads were paved this year: Perkinsville Rd, Gabrity Rd, Deller Rd, Cuomo Drive, Park Lane, Mile Hill Rd, Oakes Rd, Lauretta Dr and Lorraine Meadows Rd. for a total of 6.18 miles.
Klotz broke down the estimated costs: Labor and asphalt was done by Peckham Asphalt and Gorman Sealcoating & Striping handled the chip sealing work, all for a total of $427,000. Klotz said an additional $60,000 in labor was done by his department for preparing and clean up of the roads.
