News from the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post 521, Montgomery.
“This year our country celebrated its 250th Anniversary. To help in the celebration, the American Legion Post 521 Ladies Auxiliary and the children of Walden Elementary Schools SGA (Student Government Association) worked together to collect toiletries and clothing essentials for the veterans of Castle Point. The goal was to collect 250 items. We surpassed this number and collected 413 items. These items were then delivered to Castle Point before the July 4th Anniversary of our country. The men and women of Castle Point were greatly appreciative of such an incredibly large donation. It was a wonderful, honorable effort by all”.
Also from the Auxiliary: there will be a Yard Sale at the American Legion Post on Saturday Oct. 3rd. More on this to come. The Post is located on Rt. 208 in Montgomery.

This year marks 25 years later as we remember the events of 9/11. It’s hard to believe that it’s been that long as for many it is still fresh as the year it happened. Take time to reflect, pray, and remember that day. 9/11 Never Forget.
