Richard H. Kelly, 77, of Walker Valley, passed away unexpectedly on July 17, 2024, at home.
He was the husband of Mary (Betsy) Kelly. They shared 54 years of marriage together.
He was born on September 9, 1946, and was a longtime member of the Ironworkers Union Local 417.
He will be remembered for his amazing sense of humor, willingness to help others and love for his family. He would often be seen in his black truck and trailer, happily towing a junk car or an otherwise awesome find. He was a stage 4 cancer survivor and his strength and courage throughout was inspiring.
Richard is survived by his wife, Betsy of Walker Valley, daughter Tara Wingen (Michael) of Westtown, daughter Briana Kelly of Middletown, granddaughters Avery and Hannah Wingen of Westtown, brother Ray Scopteuolo (JoAnne) of Pine Bush and several nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his mother Leonie Scopteuolo, stepfather Anthony Scopteuolo, father Hugh Kelly, brothers Fred Kelly and Dwayne Scopteuolo.
A Public visitation will be held for Richard on Monday, July 22nd, 2024, from 4pm to 7pm at DeWitt-Martinez Funeral Home in Pine Bush.
