Bushmen finish with 15-6 record
The Kingston Tigers scored four runs in the top of the eighth inning, ending the top-seeded Pine Bush Bushmen’s season, handing them a 4-0 loss on May 21 at Mataraza Field in Pine Bush.

Derek Constance and Connor Gilday limited the Bushmen to one hit.

The Tigers broke the scoreless tie in the top of the eighth on Logan Hart’s three run double. Brady Gardner also singled home a run.

Alex Price had the only hit for the Bushmen. Lucas Judson pitched into the eighth inning and gave up two runs.

Pine Bush finished the season with a 15-6 record.

Bushmen beaten in Class AAA

Ryan Behringer scored four goals, lifting the second-seeded Monroe-Woodbury Crusaders to a 13-11 win over the top-seeded Pine Bush Bushmen to win the Section 9 Class A championship on Saturday at Faller Field in Middletown.
Carson Pesce, Liam Williamson and Max Weeks had three goals each.

Isaac Cruze led the Bushmen with seven goals. Gavin Carey and Colin Carey had two goals each.
The Bushmen opened the tournament with a 15-11 over the fourth-seeded Valley Central Vikings.

Wallkill girls finish with 8-10 record
Elysia Villafane had three hits, but Olivia Martino threw seven shutout innings as the third-seeded Warwick Wildcats eliminated the No. 6 Wallkill Panthers with a 2-0 victory in a Section 9 Class AA quarterfinal softball game at Memorial Park in Warwick.

The Wildcats got both of their runs with the long ball as Melina Garby hit a solo home run in the first inning and Annie Lincoln hit another in the sixth.
That was all Wallkill pitcher Emma Hunt allowed.

The Panthers finished the season with an 8-10 record.

PB’s Lothrop 18th in Section 9 golf
Pine Bush’s Kaiden Lothrop finished 17th and Dyland King was tied for 20th at the Section 9 boys’ golf championships on Thursday at McCann Memorial Golf Course in Poughkeepsie.

Lothrop shot an 88 on the tournament’s second day to finish with a 36-hole score of 172 and King shot a 94 for a 36-hole score of 180. He tied for 20th with FDR’s Alex Hart.

Lothrop advanced to the tournament’s second day when he finished tied for 14th with Warwick’s Jack Boudreau and Onteora’s Jude Signore with a score of 84 on May 21 at Wiltwyck Golf Club. King finished tied for 17th with Monroe-Woodbury’s Chase Cassidy with an 86.

Valley Central’s Thomas Crane missed the second day cut when he finished tied for 31st with Goshen’s Matt Tondini and Port Jervis’ Brandon Erans with a score of 91.

Pine Bush’s John Maragliano tied for 42nd place with John S. Burke Catholic’s Matt Morgieweicz with a score of 96. Ryan Wittenburg was 50th after shooting a 101.

VC doubles team eliminated
Valley Central’s Aidan Kaleta was one and done and the Section 9 boys’ tennis championships on Wednesday at MatchPoint Tennis Center in Goshen.

Kaleta lost to Saugerties’ Veer Mitra, 7-6 (3), 6-4, in the first round.
