America has had a few sitting presidents who were less than completely capable, but the people around the president stepped up and the executive branch continued to function according to the ideology of the president’s party.

Richard Nixon supposedly spent his last couple of weeks in the White House drunk and talking to the portraits of previous presidents. During Nixon’s drunken period anything of any major importance had to be checked with Mr. Kissinger or Mr. Haig before any action was taken.

After President Reagan was heavily sedated for a many hours long operation to remove a bullet from his lung, he suffered from the after effects of the sedation. Mrs. Reagan and the president’s cabinet did more after his operation so he could continue at a slower pace.

President Biden’s debate performance was terrible, but having a problem with stuttering doesn’t mean that there is a problem with thinking clearly. Many people who stutter can write down their thoughts accurately while they are having great difficulties saying what they want to say. I’m sure the Biden administration can take care of things if the president needs help and if something unfortunate happens to President Biden after he is elected to a second term, I am sure that Ms. Harris would make a very good president. Considering who he is running against I believe the best choice is clearly President Biden.
