The members of the Valley Central Scholarship Council are already planning events, mark your calendars. The annual Duck Derby will be held on October 5th at the Montgomery Fire Department.  The MFD members  assisted  last year when the Wallkill was running high and fast.  They created a slide-type track and the MFD came to the rescue with their water truck. This year they will help them on their turf, events are live on the website: vcsc1964.com.

Village mayor Mike Hembury wishes to report that the Village Car Show  was a complete success with many people showing up to visit and see these beautiful vehicles. From what I am told the local businesses did well, all had a good time, and that’s what it’s all about.  This was our 10th show, which all started from just a simple idea.

Get ready for the biggest treasure hunt of the season! Join in for our Village-Wide Yard Sale on Saturday, October 12, from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Whether you’re a seller looking to de-clutter or a bargain hunter seeking that perfect item, this event has something for everyone. Mark your calendars, invite your friends and neighbors, and get ready to shop ‘til you drop.

I’m looking to de-clutter. Does anyone know of an organization that is setting up spaces for people who would like to have a spot to sell and don’t want to have it at their house?
