City of Newburgh welcomes 10 new police officers

The City of Newburgh posted to their Facebook page several photographs congratulating their 10 newest officers who graduated from the Orange County Police Chief’s Association Police Academy.

The ceremony was originally postponed due to the on-going pandemic but now, the department was able to hold their graduation ceremony.

Several officers earned the following certificates and awards on behalf of their work in the academy: Officer Jeremy Arroyo received the Defensive Tactics Award; Officer Jordan Farrell received the William “Chip” Lahar Award; Officer Rachel Meyer received the Emergency Medical Care Award, Overall Achiever Award, and Detective James T. Giery Memorial Fund Award; Officer Richard Belliveau received the Physical Fitness Award and Officer Zachary Rivers received the Firearms Award.
