Council meetings moved to activity center

The City of Newburgh Council Work Session and Regular Council Meeting will be held in-person at the Activity Center at 401 Washington Street, Newburgh.

Livestreaming will not be available at the Activity Center, the meeting will be videotaped and archived on the City of Newburgh’s website. The move, according to a social media post from Councilman Anthony Grice, is because the elevator in City Hall is out of service.

The next Council Work Session is on Thursday, January 5, beginning at 6 p.m.

The next Regular Council Meeting is on Monday, January 9, 2023, beginning at 7 p.m. A public hearing is scheduled during the Council Meeting to receive public comments concerning the cable franchise renewal agreement between Spectrum Northeast, LLC, an indirect subsidiary of Charter Communications, Inc. and the City of Newburgh. Members of the public who wish to provide comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business, may do so in-person at the Activity Center.

Public comments regarding the agenda and general matters of City business can also be submitted via email to comments@cityofnewburgh-ny.gov with the Subject Line in this format: “PUBLIC COMMENT ITEM” by 4 p.m. on Monday, January 9, 2023.
