Wet birds DO fly!
The main attraction, the Navy’s Blue Angels needed a minimum ceiling of 10,000 feet in order to fly. By mid afternoon on Saturday, they had just enough. Sunday’s show would start early in order to beat the rain.
Kent Pietsch turned his engine off at 6,000 feet and glided his plane to a stop at the feet of Orange County Executive Steve Neuhaus.
